Women Business Owners in Western Maine. A group of Women Business Owners met on May 19th to discuss their skills and successes, which can change the local economy and impact the fabric of the larger community. The goal is to highlight and share the positive contributions Women Business Owners make to the community. Barclays brings jobs to Franklin County

It to be that people might ask a recent high school graduate if they were going away to college.

Now, thanks to people like Gary Perlson, they also might inquire if college is coming here to them.

Perlson is the career counselor for Mt. Abram Regional High School. He also forms an integral part of a community education network which is growing by leaps and bounds throughout Franklin County. A decentralized group of programs designed to assist residents with their education at every level, from high school to college prep to trade apprenticeships and college courses.
