WILTON - The Wilton Blueberry Farm will hold its annual “Library Day” Saturday, Aug. 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the farm on the McLaughlin Road.
According to Blueberry Farm owners Irv Faunce and Jan Collins, all proceeds from sales on Saturday will go directly to the Wilton Free Public Library.

FARMINGTON - Forty years after the first class to graduate from the new Mt. Blue High School facility marched into the gymnasium to receive their diplomas, approximately 45 members reunited at the Titcomb Mountain Ski Lodge on Aug. 7 to celebrate and reconnect.
MADRID - The first phase of construction for a 35-mile trail designed to link Strong and Oquossoc will begin this month, with a pair of volunteer work days scheduled for Aug. 21 and Aug. 28.
I must confess that I love hand tools. I have been fascinated with them for years: axes, bucksaws, hoes, etc. The hand tool I am most fond of, however, is the hand scythe.
My obsession (my wife and children would say) with the scythe is now nearly a decade old.
RANGELEY - This year, the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum is partnering with the Northern Forest Canoe Trail as they celebrate their 10th Anniversary in Rangeley the 24th and 25th. While the cultural heritage of logging in the western mountains of Maine is celebrated on Friday and Saturday, July 23rd and 24th at the 30th annual Logging Festival, the Northern Forest Canoe Trail will be celebrated on its 10th Anniversary in Rangeley the 24th and 25th.
RANGELEY - Today, Chris Farmer, general manager of Saddleback announced that Saddleback’s new Decade Pass is for sale. The Decade Pass will provide unlimited skiing and riding for ten consecutive years at Saddleback and costs $5,000.
Saddleback Moose Tours depart from the Guest Service Center on Main Street in Rangeley on Monday and Thursday evenings on the Saddleback Shuttle. Tours are about an hour and a half long, depending on how many moose are seen each night, and are free for all locals and guests visiting the Rangeley area.
Oquossoc - Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (RLHT) would like to welcome Kevin and Doreen Sinnett to their staff. Their primary focus will be redeveloping and managing the Cupsuptic Lake Park and Campground when RLHT takes responsibility for management in October.
