RANGELEY – Residents and area visitors are invited to attend Rangeley Family Medicine’s 15th anniversary celebration on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Highlighting the event will be a visit from 10 to 11 a.m. by Congressman Michael Michaud (D-2nd), who has been a longtime advocate of rural health centers and their importance in America.

Rep. Michaud’s visit will help serve as a precursor to National Health Center Week, August 9-15. According to the Web site, www.healthcenterweek.org this year’s theme, “Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Where ACCESS and QUALITY CARE Begin” was chosen to highlight the record of Health Centers in providing affordable, high quality, cost-effective health care to all people.

The event will also feature helium balloons for the kids, face painting, free blood pressure checks, bone density screenings, and more. A light lunch and refreshments will also be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a first come, first-served basis.

In the event of inclement weather the event will be moved into the medical practice where space is limited.

For more information on the event please visit Rangeley Family Medicine on Facebook (search Rangeley Family Medicine while logged onto Facebook), call the health center at 864-3303, or visit www.HealthReachCHC.org.

Rangeley Family Medicine is one of the medical practices of HealthReach Community Health Centers (HRCHC), a system of eleven federally qualified health centers, and two dental centers, in central and western Maine. To ensure access for everyone, HRCHC accepts Medicare, MaineCare and major insurances. In addition, an Affordable Care Program is available to uninsured and underinsured residents. The company’s Navigator program is also available to assist patients in filling out and submitting applications for other programs that may help with the cost of health care and medications.

HRCHC is a private, non-profit organization with a 30-year history, and is funded by patient fees, grants and individual donations.
