A supper service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

On Monday, the Sandy River Land Trust/High Peaks Alliance Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of service community supper was held at the Avon town hall. Among those attending, Lloyd Griscom, at left, of Sandy River Land Trust, Roger Lambert of High Peaks Alliance, at right and Ben Godsoe, AmeriCorps volunteer working for both organizations on a first joint project to connect High Peaks communities with back-country trails. Mount Abram High School seniors who coordinated a food drive and helped with the event, with Ben Godsoe, at center right back, AmeriCorps volunteer for SRLT and HPA who will be working on planning and mapping the “Fly Rod” Crosby walking trail from Strong to Oquossoc.
