CHESTERVILLE - Residents approved all 58 articles on the 2010 town meeting warrant Monday evening, after electing a new school board director at the polls.

Aaron Dyar, running unopposed, was elected to a three-year term on the Mt. Blue Regional School District’s school board. He will replace outgoing director and vice chair Charisse Kreach, who chose to not run this year. Residents also reelected Selectman David Archer, who was also running unopposed.

The entire budget, which represented $14,435 in increases in the $600,000 budget, mostly in out-of-town accounts, passed handily and with little debate. Residents approved the construction of a $16,000 building to store the town’s supply of road salt, as well as $42,000 in road repair funds for use on the Smith Road this summer.

Increases in service costs for the town, in areas like waste transportation, were partially offset by decreases in accounts that the town has control over, such as equipment replacement funds.
