Winter Wonderland in Wilton.

WILTON – Wilton will be full of holiday activity on Friday, Dec. 17 when a Holiday Sing will be held at the Monument downtown at 5:15 p.m., led by Lindsey Reinstein, music teacher at Academy Hill School. After the sing, there will be refreshments at the Wilton Farm & Home Museum. Bring flashlights and your best singing voice! Extra parking is available in the parking lot on High St. and in the lot behind the Bass-Wilson Building.

On Saturday, Dec. 18, A Winter Wonderland, sponsored by The Wilton Group, will deliver lighted trees and a special holiday gift bag of ornaments by members of the Wilton Lions Club to Wilton families.

Twelve lighted Memory Wreaths have been hung on lamp posts downtown, and window boxes up and down Main Street have been decorated with boughs by Tyngtown Club members. Wreaths on each window box (donated by a Wilton resident) and decorated with a bright red bow add color to Wilton’s Winter Wonderland.

The trees were purchased from Rocky Hill Landscaping and the following businesses donated them for the event: The Comfort Inn, The Tractor Supply Co., Damon Photography, Calzolaio Pasta Co., Cousineau Inc., Key Bank, Care & Comfort, Work First, Community Concepts, Franklin Savings Bank, the Baker’s Market Cafe, Rocky Hill Landscaping, and by Danielle Savage, whose tree will go to Trevor Collins. Everyone is invited to help decorate Trevor’s tree. Bring an ornament to put on the tree on Dec. 17th at 4:30. A picture of the lit and decorated tree and all the ornaments will be sent to Trevor. If you are unable to attend the night of decorating, you can leave your ornament for Trevor at Baker’s Market Café.

Memory Wreaths were purchased in memory of Alan “Gundar” Hartman; by the Tyngtown Club in memory of “members who have passed before us”; by Susan Atwood in memory of the Atwood Family: Helen G. Atwood, Roy F. Atwood, Roy F. Atwood, Jr., and William S. Atwood; by David Olson & Paula Widmer, in memory of Ziggy & Sophie, our unforgettable Afghan Hounds; by Sharon Rainey & Gloria Hall, in memory of our brother, Mark Foster; by Gregg Kelleher & Gail Merchant, in memory of Thelma & Robert “Rabbit” Woods; by Jeanne Lambert, in memory of parents, Cleo & Carl Pomeroy; by Paul & Valerie Soucie, in memory of their daughter, Carole Anne Soucie; by Sally B.
