FARMINGTON - University of Maine at Farmington students, undeterred by miserable, wet weather, turned out to improve a community garden Wednesday morning by planting fruit trees for a future orchard.

FARMINGTON - LEAP recently awarded two $500 scholarships. The recipients were Sarah Pine of Carrabassett Valley and Brittney Castonguay of Livermore. These scholarships will be awarded to offset the cost of tuition, books and supplies.

FARMINGTON – Life Enrichment Advancing People (LEAP), Inc., recently received a $5,000 grant from the Western Mountains Fund of the Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF) in support of the Stone Soup Gardens.
