FARMINGTON – The Bangor Area Children’s Choir will present a concert, The Road Home, on Sunday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. at University of Maine at Farmington’s Nordica Auditorium.

Donations received at the concert will go to a fund to help refurbish Nordica’s Falcone grand piano. Music will range from popular favorites such as Fix You by Coldplay, Trashin’ the Camp from Tarzan and the credits music to Frozen to patriotic pieces including America, the Beautiful as arranged for the Inaugural Prayer Services for President Obama. Multicultural selections include pieces sung in Russian, French, Xhosa, and Norwegian.

BACC was founded in 1992, and served as the featured entertainment at the 1995 Reunion of the Fifth Armored Division of the United States Army. In addition to their regular concert performances in Bangor, BACC has performed in Boston, Washington, New York, and Chicago, and performs regularly with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra.

The Bangor Area Children’s Choir is led Artistic Director, Robert Ludwig, a seasonal resident of Rangeley. In addition to conducting BACC, Mr. Ludwig is also Organist and Choirmaster at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Bangor. His previous positions include Director of Choral Music and Music Theory at Garden City High School, and choirmaster of churches and cathedrals in New York and Kentucky. His choirs have performed from Canada to Florida, and have also sung in such notable venues as St. Paul’s Cathedral, London and Wells and Coventry Cathedrals.
