FARMINGTON – On Saturday, July 11, Stan & Dan & July will bring their unique brand of Country/Folk/Bluegrass singing and picking to the park-like back yard of Mosher’s Seafood-N’-More located at 595 Farmington Falls Road.

Stan & Dan & Julie are better known as 2/3 of the Sandy River Ramblers, a very popular area Bluegrass Band. The trio are also part of the Maranacook String Band, and Stan & Dan have played many times in the region as a duo. Stan Keach (guitar) is a nationally-known Bluegrass songwriter who in recent years has concentrated on songs about Maine. His CD, Cry of the Loon and other original songs about Maine, has been praised by columnist George Smith as “a gift to Mainers.” Dan Simons (mandolin) is a virtuoso instrumentalist and a gifted harmony and lead singer. Julie Churchill (upright bass) has, according to Keach, “possibly the most beautiful voice in central Maine.

Belgrade Lakes area singer/songwriter Joey Charles will share the bill with the trio, so there will be continuous music from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free, and tasty takeout food will be available for sale for the duration of the show.
