Countryfolk Music Theatre to host concert, vintage cars

EAST DIXFIELD – Country music and classic cars will fill the valley in East Dixfield for two days over Labor Day weekend at the Countryfolk Music Theatre.

Vintage autos will be on display Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 – 2 p.m. with a DJ and live music. Popular Livermore based “Off The Hill” will perform during the car show with classic 50s-60s tune. The group includes Alan and Gaylene Rich of Livermore, Kirk Lundstrom and Paula Kaiser of Lewiston and Dona Whittemore of Farmington.

A 5-hour Country Jamboree will follow the car gathering at Countryfolk with new talent performing every 30 minutes.

The Saturday, Sept 5 Jamboree schedule includes:

2-2:30 – Sandy Waite & Rick Rich
2:30-3 – Off The Hill
3-3:30 – Ronda Dale
3:30-4 – Rockin’ Country + 1
4-4:30 – Cack Bean
4:30-5 – Kathy Bisbee & Friends
5-5:30 – Lolalee & Paula
5:30-6 – Jim Fraser
6-6:30 – Bill Grover
6:30-7 – TBA – special

5 p.m. – Free bean & pot luck supper

7-9 p.m. – 50s-60s Dance with the band “Gambol Creek.” (Jeff & Donna Wells of Farmington)

The Sunday, Sept 6 Jamboree schedule includes:

10-11 – Country Cowboy Church w/National HOBO Gospel Singers
12-1 – Country Music
1-2 – The Youth Music Scholarships
Special guest performers / Bill Scott / Ginny Palmer / Terry Moore
2-6 – Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, folk music
