Folk duo Simons and Goodwin in Wilton on Aug. 10

Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin

WILTON - Bob Simons and Renee Goodwin met more than 40 years ago during the folk music scene, then pursued independent music careers before forming an acoustic act in 2006. Since that time they have delighted audiences with a variety of styles of Americana music, including blues, soft rock, country,  and traditional folk, with original songs written by Simons.

The only thing that's predictable about their performances is the tightness that comes from years of friendship and beautiful, intricate harmonies with a warmth that gives listeners the feeling that they are spending time, and sharing music, with two old friends.

This performance is part of Sing to ME in Wilton, Maine, a series of occasional concerts to highlight and support local performers. At the Baker's Market Cafe, 285 Main St., downtown Wilton. Doors open at 6 pm, performance at 7 pm. FMI 645-7107

  1. Had the chance to see these guys last year--they are terrific! Go see them if you can, they don't come around here that often.
