CARRABASSETT VALLEY – On Sunday, Dec. 28 from 6-7 p.m., at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library, local photographer Waylon Wolfe will present a free one-hour workshop on the basics of photography and camera operation.

Participants will learn how to take control of their manual camera settings by understanding aperture, ISO, and shutter speed.

The workshop will also include an open Q&A/discussion about a number of photography topics such as equipment, composition, editing software, and more.

“I talk to so many people who have nice cameras and don’t know how to use them,” Wolfe said. “My hope is that this workshop helps those people and others interested in photography venture out of auto mode and improve their photographs.”

Wolfe first got inspired to take photographs professionally, after moving to beautiful Carrabassett Valley (Sugarloaf area), Maine, where he currently lives with his wife and two children. He specializes in natural light photography and is an established landscape, nature, portrait and event photographer.
