RANGELELY – The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will present International Night, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at the RFA Lakeside Theater. “Primo Cubano,” a five-member band, will offer their unique style of Cuban Salsa.

Primo Cubano plays traditional Cuban dance music dating back to the turn of the 20th century.  Son is the most popular style to come out of Cuba and is the primary contributor to the blend of Latin styles today known as Salsa.  Son was a music of the country people which eventually migrated to Havana, where it was urbanized and began to draw a wider audience.

During intermission, thanks to the help of the Oquossoc Grocery, the “Taste of Cuba” will include a mini-Empanada, a bite-size Cuban sandwich, Plantain chips, and a special virgin Sangria.

Admission $15. Tickets are available in advance at the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce, 6 Park Rd, Rangeley, or call them at 207-864-5571. Tickets will also be available at the door.
