Local award-winning photographer hosting workshop series

STRONG – Alana Ranney, of Alana’s Fine Art Photography located in Strong will host four workshops for the landscape and nature photographer at her studio.

Each workshop is limited to six persons. The first workshop takes place on Feb. 24, from 5:30 pm to 8 p.m. on Getting to know your camera. Did you get a new camera for Christmas or just want to dust off your old camera and learn something new or refresh your knowledge, then you’ll want to sign up for the first workshop.

The second workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 2, from 5:30 pm to 8 pm on Capturing the Shot, will be a short macro photography demonstration. The third workshop will be held Wednesday, March 9, from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Seeing the Light, and the fourth workshop will be held Wednesday, March 30, from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. on “Make it Pop.” The workshops are aimed at the beginner and intermediate level photographer all levels welcome. The workshops are $40 each, three for $99, or all four for $130.

At each workshop a short slideshow of her nature and landscape work will be followed by a discussion on each of the topics. Questions will be encouraged and light refreshments will be served.
