New Saddleback Summer Artists series coming in July

RANGELEY – A new Saddleback Mountain Summer Artist’s Workshop Series begins next month.

The resort is the site of a new venue for workshops featuring award winning, internationally renowned artists and will involve intensive and focused studio time in an incredibly beautiful environment.

Saddleback is surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, wildlife and hundreds of thousands of acres of wilderness that is the Rangeley Lakes Region. This is a place that inspires and sparks everyone’s artistic soul.

The classes will be held in Saddleback’s beautiful post and beam base lodge with views of Maine’s Western Mountains and Rangeley Lakes – an inspirational setting to enhance the experiential education of participants. The entire lodge will be reserved for those attending the workshops. The lodge will remain open in the evening for students to be able to continue working on their projects and to socialize with other participants.

The Marriage of Surface and Form using Polymer Clays – July 9-12, a 4-day workshop in polymer clays by world renowned artists Bonnie Bishoff and Melanie West. Basic knowledge of how to work with polymer clays is needed.

Rocks Cuff Class with Melanie Muir – July 13, a 1-day class in polymer jewelery by award winning, internationally renowned artist Melanie Muir, who is coming all the way from Scotland to show how to make her “Rocks Cuff.”
