Poet’s Corner: Suddenly

Suddenly
by
Greg Zemlansky

The dark clouds danced around calling

for the rain to come down.

The fresh new born green leaves were

rustling on the trees.

The branches were swaying in the

cool Spring breeze.

Suddenly…

The dark clouds extinguished the

sun and began to widely roam.

There’s a rumbling of thunder like

the sound of a powerful crash.

Sheltered in the deep clouds; the

lightning waits to flash.

Suddenly…

The rain, like a tranquilizer, quiet

and peaceful comes pouring to the

ground.

There’s thunderous roar and a

lonesome tree is fanning the

flames of fire all around.

Suddenly…

The sun dazzling beam starts to

slowly penetrate a left- over

dark cloud.

Cluster of moisture sparkle

through the sunlight.

A rainbow with all its beautiful

colors makes it a magnificent

sight!
