STRONG – The Porter Lake Association is looking for a new logo and needs your help. We are seeking members of the PLA, or nonmembers, to submit a creative and memorable design.
The logo should be recognizable and help promote the mission of our organization that is, “…to preserve the lake, its shores, and the wildlife inhabitants, as a four season recreation area to be enjoyed by all future generations.”
Porter Lake holds wonderful memories for many families. This logo will help perpetuate these memories as we seek to express our appreciation and respect for this beautiful and special bit of Maine.
Contest submissions will be accepted now through June 15, 2016. Winners will be announced via our website, Facebook and by direct contact to the winners email if available. In order for your entry to be submitted and reviewed by our judges, all entries must be submitted directly to co-secretary, Barbara Toner or president, Mark Ranger either by:
• Paper-copy = centered on 8.5 X 11 printer paper
• Digital copy = high resolution PDF with 300 dpi or higher, printable to 8.5 X 11 paper. Send to:redranger6963@gmail.com (Mark) or, mailto:bmjtoner@gmail.com (Barbara). Chosen winner will need to submit original source file in jpeg, tiff, or eps file format.
Professional: This logo may be featured on our website, our social media platforms and other mediums (stationary, newsletters, t-shirts etc.). As a result, while we want the logo to be eye-catching, it must still be legible.
Theme: Logo must promote the mission of the Porter Lake Association, which is, “…to preserve the lake, its shores, and the wildlife inhabitants, as a four season recreation area to be enjoyed by all future generations.” Including the title, “Porter Lake Association” in the logo is expected.
Color: There are no limitations and any colors may be used. However, logo must look good in color (if any) or black and white.
Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.
Members of the Porter Lake Association at the Aug. 22, 2016 full-association meeting will select winners. Winners agree that the Porter Lake Association may publish their logo and name(s) and be used both for informational purposes, advertising and/or marketing materials in the future. Winners assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the logo, to the Porter Lake Association.
Winners will be awarded $50 as well as bragging rights to your awesome work, proudly displayed in support of our lake! Get creating!
