FARMINGTON – Lucia Wasileski Swallow’s art will be on display and available for sale at SugarWood Gallery during the month of November. An artist reception is planned for Nov. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gallery at 248 Broadway.
Swallow’s exhibit will focus on sunsets, flowers and the colors of summer. This summer she planted a variety of different sunflowers in her garden. Their colors, shapes, sizes, positions and faces against the blue summer sky inspired her to put her ideas on canvas.
Swallow will conduct an art talk at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 and all are invited to share in this journey with the colors of summer.
The artist resides in Fairbanks, a suburb of Farmington. Swallow says: “capturing color and creating design have been common threads throughout my life as a painter, gardener and mother. My passion for art is inspired in part by painting on location and experiencing and becoming intimate with the natural beauty that surrounds me.”
