RANGELEY – The Rangeley Friends of the Arts proudly presents The 7th Annual RFA Summer Diva Show, featuring great songs and hits of the last six decades. This popular event will be held in downtown Rangeley at the revitalized Rangeley Inn in the Kennebago Ballroom.

The RFA Diva Show is a true example of the phrase “necessity is the mother of invention.” In small towns where raising funds is essential to keep local arts programs alive, the RFA Diva show was born. It has been described as “a night of lighthearted fun with an unpredictable cast of characters.” The original show was designed, produced and directed by Carolyn Smith and RFA board member Terry Martin. After auditions, each local Diva selects a real Diva, a song, and a costume. She/he then performs within the context of the show and its story line.

Sold out performances are the results of outstanding local talent and a willingness to join in the fun, performing with can-do attitudes. The RFA has brought to life such legends as Judy Garland, Doris Day, Cher, Patsy Cline, and so many others. The Divas donate their time and talents to develop shows that any organization would be proud to present.

Performances will be held at 7:30 pm on August 1, 2, 3, and 4. Mark your calendars and head on over to The Rangeley Chamber of Commerce 6 Park Rd. to get your reserved seat tickets before they are sold out!
