RANGELEY – The Rangeley Friends of the Arts presents Anything Goes, the Annual Community Musical Production, at the RFA Lakeside Theater over the 4th of July Weekend: July 4-7 at 7 p.m.

Anything Goes is a zany story wrapped around a magical Cole Porter score. More than 28 talented characters of all ages will fill the stage with music and dancing. Directed by Susan Hamilton, Produced by Millie Hoekstra, with Music Direction by Sue Downes-Borko; the production is co-sponsored by Keep’s Corner Cafe and by Rangeley Lakes Resort.

It’s the age-old tale of boy-meets-girl and no musical puts it on stage better than Anything Goes. Songs include Cole Porter’s popular “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s Delovely,” and “You’re The Top.” Sailing between New York and England is a comically colorful assemblage of passengers: Reno Sweeney, a popular nightclub singer and former evangelist, her pal Billy Crocker, a lovelorn Wall Street broker trying to win the favor of his beloved Hope Harcourt (who is engaged to another passenger, Sir Evelyn Oakleigh), and a second-rate con-man named Moonface Martin, aka “Public Enemy #13.” Song, dance, and farcical antics ensue as Reno and Moonface try to help Billy win the love of his life.

Admission is $15. Reserve Seating Tickets are available in advance at the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce, 6 Park Rd, Rangeley, or call them at 207-864-5571.
