VIENNA – Returning to the Vienna Union Hall by popular demand on Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. is a young, dynamic group from Waterville and Orono, Good Time Sound.

An a cappella vocal quartet, Good Time Sound enjoys close harmony, tight chords, and entertaining audiences with their eclectic mix of songs. They love to sing and perform a variety of musical genres from doo-wop to barbershop, contemporary to classical. Good-Time Sound features Ben Clark (Tenor), Jon Hawley (Lead), Mike Peterson (Bartitone) and Bill Yates (Bass). They are all members of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and enjoy singing on various contest stages and barbershop chapter shows. They take great pride in remaining the last quartet standing at the end of the evening of singing. You will most assuredly find them busting chords in the parking lot after the show as they did last year, and are more than welcome to join them for a song or some tags.

We are also very pleased to be able to present the new Mt. Blue High School a cappella group Flipsides directed by LynnWells, an elementary school teacher in RSU 9.The group Flipsides was formerly Mt. Blue Voices and their voices are wonderful to hear. They sing a varied repertoire of songs and most of all, the students have fun and enjoy what they do. This is a wonderful chance to support our school district music program since a portion of the funds raised will be given to the group to support the music program.

Tickets are on sale now. They are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. For advance tickets call 293-2674 or email viennauniuonhall@gmail.com. The Vienna Union Hall is located on 5 Vienna Mountain Road, Vienna, ME.
