WILTON – Wilton Blueberry Festival’s 4th Annual Juried Art Show will be held Friday, Aug. 5, from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bass-Wilson Building, on the Main floor off Canal Street in Wilton

An Artist Reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 4-5 p.m. The event is open to all with a meet and greet the artists showing their work.

The art show’s coordinator is Kathi J Smith, visual artist and professor of studio art at Husson University. The show is open to all ages; $200 in chamber buck prizes will be awarded! “Best in Show,” “Best Themed” piece (All about Sports), “Aspiring Young Artist” award (ages 4-14), two honorable mentions.

Art work can be dropped off on Friday, Aug. 5, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Bass-Wilson Building on the first floor, behind and above the restaurant, off of Canal Street.

All works are subject to the jurying process. Those not selected for the show will receive a phone call. Work not selected needs to be picked up between 2- 3 p.m.

On Saturday at 4 p.m. the artist reception begins with awards. All selected work should be picked up on Saturday, Aug. 6, between 5 and 6 p.m.

Applicants may submit up to two artworks that are ready to hang. No freestanding sculptures. If you have sculpture and a pedestal, we can display it.

Applicants must complete the entry form below, and submit with artwork. Works must be framed and ready to hang with a hanging wire. Pieces may not exceed 5 pounds and works cannot exceed 36 inches in any direction.

Juror has the right to refuse works that do not meet the specifications above. Please remember that this is a family friendly atmosphere. Juror may refuse to hang works based on content.

Works may be for sale or not (NFS = Not for sale). The artist will manage all sales. Please indicate on the form below if you your work is for sale, and your contact information. Sold works may not be removed from the show until Saturday 6 p.m. Feel free to bring in business cards and other informational material to share!
