Award-winning chef returns to The Gingerbread House

OQUOSSOC – The Gingerbread House in Oquossoc is pleased to announce that after 13 years as the executive chef at The Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Steve True has returned to The Gingerbread House.

During his years as head chef, he enhanced his culinary skills and was awarded the Maine Restaurant Association’s coveted 2014 Chef of the Year. In Kennebunkport, he cooked for former presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, capping off with a wedding for one of the younger generation of Bushes. Steve did as many as 60 weddings a year at The Nonantum Resort. His weekly specialties at The Gingerbread will be a seafood buffet on Tuesdays and pasta night on Wednesdays.

Steve has always had a house in Rangeley since he cooked at The Gingerbread from 1998 through 2001. He and his wife Tina are delighted to be back full time in this serenely beautiful area of Maine.
