Citriglia named as new SAVES coordinator
FARMINGTON - Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services announces the appointment of Nicholas Citriglia as the coordinator for their Franklin County services, known locally as SAVES.
Nick is filling the position vacated when Judy Rawlings retired from the agency on June 30.
Nick has a masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Clinical Counseling. He recently relocated to Farmington from Denver, Colo., where he was working as a clinician for the Mental Health Center of Denver.
Nick has been involved with nonprofit work for the past 10 years, and is passionate about helping people and building awareness about topics such as Mental Health, Addiction, and Trauma.
In his role as SAVES coordinator, Nick will oversee Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services’ programming in Franklin County. In addition, he will represent the agency in Franklin County collaborations and will provide support and supervision for the SAVES staff. He will also provide support and direction for the client services staff throughout the agency.
Nick replaces Judy Rawlings, who served as the executive director/coordinator of SAVES from 2006 until her retirement in 2012. Prior to that, Judy served on the SAVES Board of Directors for seven years. Judy’s work with SAVES and its staff helped to build the organization into the strong and effective agency it is today. She also led SAVES through a merger process, ensuring that services would remain strong and present in Franklin County.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services is the result of a merger between SAVES in Franklin County, REACH in Oxford County, and SACC in Androscoggin County. Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services now serves all three counties, and provides a wide range of services for people of all ages and genders who have been affected by sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, stalking or sexual harassment. The agency also has a broad range of programs to educate the community and work towards ending sexual violence.
