Auburn – Information technology professionals can “brush up” their knowledge with one of the 10-hour review classes being offered at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in Auburn.

These training courses are a condensed version of the regularly scheduled Microsoft IT Academy 32-hour classes. Designed for professionals who need a short, test-prep review before sitting for the certification exam, these courses are focused and intense. Each course leverages the same content found in the Microsoft Official Academic Course (MOAC) for the exam.

Microsoft Networking Fundamentals Boot Camp will run on two Mondays, Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 from 4-9 p.m. This course prepares students for the Microsoft Technology Associate Exam (MTA) 98-366, and focuses on network infrastructures, network hardware, and protocols and services.

Microsoft Server Administration Fundamentals Boot Camp will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 30 and Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 4-9 p.m. A preparation for MTA Exam 98-365, this course concentrates on server installation, server roles, active directory, storage, server performance management, and server maintenance.

Microsoft Security Fundamentals Boot Camp will meet on two Wednesdays, Jan. 7 and 14, from 4-9 p.m. This course prepares students for MTA Exam 98-367, and is focused on security layers, authentication, authorization and accounting, security policies, operating system security, network security and security software.

The cost for each course is $169. This includes all course materials, six-month access to the practice exam, and one test voucher for the corresponding Microsoft certification exam. Limited enrollment is available and registration is open through the start of the classes. Please visit www.cmcc.edu/ccs to register online.
