Collectors Delight to hold closing sale over next two months

Bob and Toni Bowering.

FARMINGTON - Bob and Toni Bowering regretfully announce that Collectors Delight: Antiques & Collectibles will be closing in the near future. All merchandise is now priced at 50 percent off the ticketed price with new items added daily.

The Bowerings opened the store on July 1, 2007, located in the old log Dexter Shoe building on Route 2 & 4 in Wilton. They carry a wide assortment of merchandise from hunting, fishing, trapping and military items to jewelry, line, dinnerware, carnival, depression, ruby glassware, books and Christmas decorations.

The store will be closed on or before October 1, 2012, due to a serious illness.

In addition to the 50 percent closing sale (cash and good checks only), the fixtures and building itself is for sale. The 4,000 square foot, free-standing building and large parking area is located at 615 U.S. Route 2, Wilton.

Collectors Delight is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The store will be closed on Aug. 6.

Please call Collectors Delight at 645-5012 for more information.

  1. So sorry for your illness, wishing you a speedy recovery :) While I didn't stop in often it was always fun to see what new goodies you had when I did come by. Best of luck in the future!

  2. For you folks that enjoy "old" stuff you should stop and see what Toni & Bob have collected for resale. I have had my eyes on several pieces to include an antique chicken statue, which sits on top of the street sign.

  3. Well Tom if you want those pieces and the antique chicken statue you better go get it before some one else buys it.

  4. Thank you for your great store, and best wishes to you both.

  5. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, here's to a speedy recovery. You two will always have "stuff"!
