Fifty-plus workshop for self-employment is Jan. 16

LEWISTON – If you are considering self-employment in the New Year, you may not know where to start. AARP Foundation’s Work for Yourself@50+ guides you through a series of steps to prepare you for launching a self-employment ventures.

A Work for Yourself@50+ workshop will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The workshop will be held at the SeniorsPlus location at 8 Falcon Road in Lewiston. There is no fee for the class.

AARP Foundation’s Work for Yourself@50+ is designed to low- and moderate-income adults age 50+ gain the knowledge, support, and resources they need to make informed decisions and take the right first steps toward successful self-employment. The two hour workshop will walk participants through the Work for Yourself@50+ materials and connect them with local and business planning resources to help them reach their goals.
