FARMINGTON – The Franklin Memorial Hospital Finance Department is pleased to announce that accountant Natasha Erb, FHFMA, CPA, recently became a Fellow from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Fewer than 1,700 HFMA members nationwide have achieved this accomplishment, which is indicative of her personal commitment to excellence within the profession of healthcare financial management. “Natasha is the third person in the finance department to become a Fellow, which demonstrates the excellence that we strive for,” said Wayne Bennett, chief financial officer.

To become an FHFMA (Fellow): one must be credentialed as a certified healthcare financial professional (CHFP); be an HFMA member for at least five years; complete a bachelor’s degree or 120 semester hours from an accredited college or university; and volunteer in HFMA or the industry.

Erb is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the HFMA. She additionally serves as a board member of the Maine Chapter of HFMA, and is a board member and treasurer of the Franklin County Children’s Task Force.

As accounting manager, Erb oversees budgeting and financial reporting. She is a native of Russia and graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. Erb has been employed at Franklin Memorial Hospital for five years and resides in Farmington.
