In her new role, Fortin will continue to assist customers in financing vehicles and other personal loans, but with enhanced responsibility as an officer.

Fortin’s step up represents achievement of an important goal. She has sought to become a lender since starting at Franklin Savings Bank in 2007 and, throughout her tenure, has demonstrated her willingness to learn and grow.

In her four years as loan and deposits interview clerk at Franklin Savings, she has worked closely with customers to cultivate lasting relationships.

“Stacy shows true commitment to her position here at Franklin Savings Bank through her community involvement and her continued desire to improve her skills,” said Diane Perry, vice president and River Valley branch manager. “Her previous banking experience has also served her well in her desire to provide great customer service and in her depth of knowledge in the banking industry.”

“I am very excited and humbled all at the same time,” said Fortin, who lives with her family in Rumford. “This is a goal I have been working towards since I first started as a customer service representative at Franklin Savings Bank.”

Fortin is currently working to earn her associate’s degree in business administration at Central Maine Community College. She is an active volunteer in the community, particularly at events such as Relay for Life, and enjoys helping with the Christmas in the Valley parade. She is currently volunteering for Money Minders, a program through SeniorsPlus, which assists local seniors with writing checks to pay their bills and balancing their checkbooks.

With the strength of her education, personal professional growth goals, community involvement, and banking experience, Franklin Savings Bank is confident Fortin will continue to provide great service to customers and the River Valley community.
