Free introduction to self-employment workshop on Oct. 11

WILTON - A free, 3-hour workshop for anyone interested in starting a business is being offered by Women, Work & Community on Thursday, Oct. 11.

This introductory workshop will walk you through the pros and cons of owning your own business show you how to get started, point out the major elements of a business plan, introduce the many resources available in the Franklin County area and help you decide whether self employment is the right choice for you!

Pre-registration is required. This is a 3-hour workshop that will be from 9:00 to 12:00 noon at the Wilton CareerCenter, Wilton, ME

Women, Work, and Community is a statewide non-profit organization committed to improving the economic lives of Maine women and their families.  The organization works with individuals "where they are" and provides them with support, guidance, and the tools they need to take the next steps toward a more promising future.  Women, Work, and Community provides individual assistance and group training in building careers, starting and growing businesses, planning for financial security, and becoming community leaders.  All services are free.
