FARMINGTON – Franklin Savings Bank has promoted its controller, loan processing manager and underwriter at its main office and added a consumer loan officer to its Skowhegan branch.

Assistant Vice President & Controller Pamala Dixon has been elevated to the corporate title of Vice President and Treasurer. Dixon, who has served as the bank’s controller since 2012, has done an excellent job managing the daily activities of the bank’s accounting department and supporting the reporting requests of senior management, according to bank management.

“Pam is a humble leader with very keen accounting and financial knowledge. She works diligently with senior management and the board of directors to ensure that the bank’s financial position is safe and secure,” said Shelley Deane, executive vice president, administration and human resources.

She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a concentration in finance. Dixon is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier National Graduate School of Banking.
Loan Processing Manager and Underwriting Officer Bett Hardy was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Hardy, who is a Farmington native, joined the Franklin Savings Bank team in 1998 after completing the bank’s Teller Training Program while attending Mt. Blue High School.

“Since becoming supervisor of the mortgage processing staff last year, Bett has grown significantly in her leadership abilities,” said Deane. “The bank recently adopted a new and improved loan origination system to better serve the bank’s borrowing customers. Bett was an integral part of its implementation.”

Hardy has taken advantage of the bank’s educational opportunities and is currently working toward a certificate in business from Central Maine Community College. She, too, is a very active community volunteer.

At the bank’s Skowhegan Branch, Sherri Lewis has been promoted to Consumer Loan Officer. Lewis has been working closely with the Skowhegan lending team while also aiding the customer service team when needed. Lewis has served the bank’s customers as the loan and deposit interview Clerk since 2012 and it is in this role that her strong desire to lend became apparent.

“Sherri has always shown a great initiative to learn and develop. This will be a great opportunity for her to further grow and to continue serving the financial needs of the bank’s customers,” said Deane. “We are very excited for Sherri as she takes on this new challenge.”

Lewis has been a dedicated supporter of the Skowhegan Area’s Relay for Life event for many years.

Franklin Savings Bank is a community bank serving western and central Maine since 1868. It was named a Best Places to Work in 2015 and has maintained top rankings as the Strongest Bank in Maine by Weiss Rating since 1999.
