FARMINGTON – LEAP, a nonprofit committed to daily living supports for adults with developmental disabilities has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of September.

This exciting program has been designed to support local nonprofits like LEAP. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma messaging purchased at the Farmington Hannaford location, LEAP will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission of community wellness and daily living supports.

“We are pleased to be chosen by Hannaford as the Hannaford Helps program recipient for September,” said LEAP Executive Director Darryl Wood. “LEAP works hard to be a valuable asset to our communities, and by supporting our mission, Hannaford stands out as a company that cares.”

LEAP has a goal of raising $1,000 during September as a beneficiary of the program, which is equivalent to 1,000 bags bought in support of the cause. LEAP plans to use the projected funds to provide wellness and recreational activities that are currently unfunded for the people we support in order further carry out its mission of empowering people of all abilities to lead lives with dignity, independence and autonomy by providing comprehensive and individualized supports. Our founding principle is to provide services that encourage well-being, self-expression and experiences of joy.
