Patriots fans enjoy discounted skiing, chance to earn free lift tickets at Sugarloaf on Super Bowl Sunday

CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Super Bowl Sunday can pose a conundrum for skiers and snowboarders. Forego a day on the snow for pregame hype, or split the day between the mountain and the sofa?

With the New England Patriots headed to the big game this year, Sugarloaf is adding some incentive for the latter.

Any skier or snowboarder wearing a Patriots jersey will receive half-price lift ticket ($42) on Super Bowl Sunday (February 1, 2015), and will have the opportunity to earn a free lift ticket for an additional day by participating in a group photo and run.

Pats fans who have donned jerseys can meet at the Whiffletree lift at 9:30 a.m. to participate in a group ride up the lift and run down the Whiffletree trail. Everyone in attendance will receive a voucher for a complimentary lift ticket, valid through the end of the current ski season.

Skiers participating in the group photo and run should gather at the base of the Whiffletree lift at 9:30 a.m. The group will ride up Whiffletree and take a group run down the Whiffletree trail.
