CARRABASSETT VALLE – Sam Punderson was recently hired by Sugarloaf Mountain to be a real estate agent at Mountainside Real Estate.

Punderson is a fully licensed agent and member of the Maine Association of Realtors. He will be engaged in listing and selling homes, condos and land, as well as working with seasonal rentals in Carrabassett Valley and the surrounding areas. Additionally he will be working on specific marketing initiatives that Mountainside Real Estate will be implementing in the coming months.

“I love Sugarloaf and Carrabassett Valley and have really enjoyed living here for the past 14 years.” Punderson said. “I’m excited to be the one to assist people in procuring their piece of the Sugarloaf dream. The valley is maturing in its recreational opportunities with the addition of the Maine Huts as well as all the new mountain bike trails, so it’s a better time than ever to own a home here.”

Sugarloaf General Manager John Diller and Boyne East Head of Real Estate Development Mark Hall were enthusiastic about Punderson’s addition to the Mountainside office.

“We’re very excited to bring Sam to work with the Sugarloaf team,” Diller said. “He has a family background in real estate, and a great connection with Sugarloaf having lived here for a long time. We hand picked him to join our team of veteran agents at Mountainside and think he will bring a complimentary set of talents to the mix.”

This is the second time that Punderson has been in real estate. He sold homes and land in Vermont for 7 years in the ‘90s. He entered the family business with his father and then purchased a RE/MAX franchise that he operated for 5 years. His sister owns and operates her own real estate company in Middlebury, Vermont as well.

Punderson lives on the Sugarloaf golf course with his wife Kate, head of school at Carrabassett Valley Academy and their son Calvin. In his free time Punderson enjoys skiing, mountain biking, canoeing, hiking, and flying above the mountains and lakes in his small plane.
