WEST FARMINGTON – An abundance of fresh, locally-produced food just in time for Thanksgiving will be offered at the Winter Farmers’ Market, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Farmington Grange Hall on Bridge Street.
Eleven vendors with tables laden full of vegetables, meats and homemade pies, along with locally produced honey, jams, craft goods and more will all be offered Saturday morning in the warmth of the Grange Hall.
Market Manager Bonnie Clark said there is plenty of the freshest food for every Thanksgiving table with the added benefit of knowing the products are locally produced by our neighbors.
The market will be open through the winter with a special event Fiber Spinning Meet every second Saturday of the month, the next meet is set for Dec. 13. Spinners and knitters, of all levels, are encouraged to bring their spinning wheels and needles to the market for some productive social time.
Clark said the first meet held this month had seven spinners and knitters and was a fun social event time. The meet is free to participants, unless they wish to sell something. Hot beverages are available for participants, she added.
