FARMINGTON – Looking for a great reason to check out the new local brewery and support an important cause? Come to the Tumbledown Brewing “Farewell to Winter” celebration, and a Western Maine Play Museum fundraiser.

On Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 15 percent of all growler fills will be donated to the museum.

There will also be a raffle that day for a Growler Club membership good through July 31, 2015. Growler Club members enjoy $2 off all Growler Refills! Individuals can purchase a raffle ticket for $2, or 3 entries for $5 (must be 21 or older, with an ID to enter). Proceeds from all raffle entries will be donated directly to the Western Maine Play Museum.

What’s a growler? It’s a 64-ounce reusable jug for transporting beer and sold at breweries and brewpubs, like Tumbledown in Farmington.

The fundraiser on Saturday will help support efforts to open a new Western Maine Play Museum in Wilton. It is a non-profit, community-driven project, started in November 2013, whose mission statement is to inspire children, connect families, and build community through exploration, learning, and play. More information about the museum can be found on their website www.westernmaineplay.org.

Tumbledown Brewing is a small craft brewery located in Farmington, Maine, founded by Matthew and Meaghan Swan in August 2014. They brew beer in small batches but give it taste as big as the mountains that inspire them.
