FARMINGTON – University Credit Union, a full-service financial institution with branches across the state, launched three new Interactive Teller Machines this week. UCU unveiled its first ITM in July, at the drive-up at its Farmington branch.

Additional machines are now located at campus branches at the University of Maine in the Memorial Union, at the University of Southern Maine in the Brooks Student Center, and at the University of Maine at Presque Isle in the Campus Center building.

The Interactive Teller Machine provides additional convenience at the campus branches extended past the standard campus branch hours. During the regular business hours, Monday – Wednesday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., members can use the ITM technology to video chat with a UCU teller to complete their transactions. Other transactions available to UCU members on the ITM include deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, balance inquiries and loan payments. The machine is also available as a Smart ATM during off-hours when the campus centers are open.

“UCU prides itself on being at the forefront of technology,” said Matthew Walsh, President/CEO of University Credit Union. “Whether it is the biometric login to our mobile app or this fleet of Interactive Teller Machines, we know that connecting our members with added convenience and functionality is just another way we can provide them the best service possible.”
