University Credit Union presents MBMS with donation

FARMINGTON – Beth Beaudoin, University Credit Union Farmington Branch Manager, was pleased to present Gary Oswald, Principal at Mt. Blue Middle School, with a check for $1,000 on June 15. This contribution was made through the efforts of UCU’s Adopt-A-School program.

"I was honored to work with Gary through this program to determine the needs and goals of Mt. Blue Middle School," Beaudoin said. "This partnership allowed us to assist two families in need this past holiday season and organize a large bowling event in order to support the needs of the school. UCU, our members and the community have made this gift a possibility and we are proud to support education in Maine.”

Oswald added: “How wonderful it is to work with community members and businesses that care about schools and the students in the local district’s towns.”

Mt. Blue Middle School intends to use the funds to schedule a motivational speaker for next year and to purchase a trophy case to place in the entryway of the school.
