WILTON - Western Maine Play Museum held their 5th annual board meeting on Dec. 3 and saw many changes to their 13-member board, including the additions of Kate Cook Whitt and Jesse Potts (with Lindsay Coolidge to be inducted during their January meeting). The meeting was held at 561 Main Street in Wilton in the under-construction building which will house the museum.

The following officers were elected to lead the board for the next year: Lori Lewis as president, Marylena Chaisson as vice president, Dr. Gabriel Civiello as treasurer, and Jessica Lewis as secretary. This is a first change in leadership for president and treasurer which were founded and held for 5 years prior by Angela McLeod and Nicole Knowles respectively.

As Western Maine Play Museum continues its steady progress toward opening to the public, it remains committed to raising the funds needed to hire an executive director in the new year and filling out exhibit spaces with thoughtfully chosen items that will surprise and delight little and big visitors alike. Western Maine Play Museum can be supported in their efforts through direct donations on their gofundme page: or if you enjoy online shopping then you can purchase needed exhibit items on their exhibit registry: Additionally, you’re always welcome to mail donations directly to: WMPM, PO BOX 1161, Wilton, ME 04294. If you’d prefer to give the gift of time in the coming months when volunteers will be needed to paint rooms, assemble exhibits, etc. then please email Lori Lewis to let her know of your interest and potential skills:
