WILTON – On Nov. 30, the board of Western Maine Play Museum met for their second annual board meeting. Among other business, the board welcomed two new members: Cindy Stevens and Kariss Richards. Stevens is a retired educator who now works at the University of Maine at Farmington as a field supervisor for practicum and advance practicum students and Richards is a loan officer at Otis Federal Credit Union.

The board also re-elected officers Angela McLeod, president; Lori Lewis, vice-president; Nikki Knowles, treasurer; and newly elected a board secretary, Marylena Chaisson.

In the last year, the museum has raised over $180,000 through grants and donations. They are working hard on closing the financial gap of $115,000 in order to begin the reconstruction of their building this spring. The public’s support is welcome, and needed, to continue progress for this great community resource.

Western Maine Play Museum is a registered non-profit that incorporated in November of 2013 and is led by a 13-member board of directors.
