Western Maine Play Museum revamping spring fundraiser

2 mins read

WILTON – Western Maine Play Museum is excited to announce that they’ll be hosting a revamped version (with a new event name to be announced) of their Spring Gala on June 18.

Western Maine Play Museum board members are excited to host the event at the museum and provide a sneak peek of the interior. Because the museum is capable of holding more attendees, ticket cost will be reduced accordingly. This event was previously hosted by Calzolaio’s Pasta Co. but they’ve generously offered to cater the event at the museum so they will still be a part of the celebration.

The highlight of the evening, as in past years, will certainly be the experience auction with auctioneers Jeff Bailey and Dan Ryder from local improv group, The Teacher’s Lounge Mafia, instigating bidding wars and keeping everyone laughing. Attendees can look forward to music, indoor and outdoor activities, and a grown-ups only event with yummy food and a cash bar. Please save the date and subscribe to our Facebook page for more information about the event and where to purchase tickets.

The above event is expected to be the biggest fundraiser of the year and is getting a big boost from The Cook Family Charitable Trust who have offered to match ALL fundraising efforts up to $10,000 from now until the June 18th event. We’d like to thank Jessica Lewis, owner of Inch by Inch Preschool in Wilton, for kicking off the fundraising year with a Glow Stick Dance Party event held at the preschool on the evening of January 11th. Jessica and Lacey Gallant volunteered their time to host…children and raised $400 for the evening.
