FARMINGTON – Western Mountain Chiropractic & Sports Injury recently held a fundraiser for LEAP, where they raised over $516 towards LEAP’s community wellness initiatives.

“LEAP, Inc. was chosen as the beneficiary of this fundraiser because of the agency’s commitment to providing direct support for local residents who are in need of individualized resources,” said Tyler Barnes of Western Mountain Chiropractic & Sports Injury. “These are resources that would not readily be accessible without the help of a non-profit like LEAP. In addition, LEAP facilitates many initiatives and programs that advocate the promotion of health and wellness. This effort directly benefits the people they support, the employees of LEAP, and our community as a whole.”

“Our office’s mission is to treat musculoskeletal injuries in the most safe and effective manner,” said Timothy Saulter. “Much like this office, LEAP uses their resources as the most effective way to support their clients and target the needs of the community.”

“It is very humbling when an outside organization or business recognizes the work we do and reaches out on their own, to show support,” said Darryl Wood, LEAP’s executive director. “Monies received from fundraising and most donations are important because we can use them without restriction.”

In this case, LEAP plans to use the money continue the development of the Stone Soup Gardens project, which has accessible gardens and trails designed to benefit people of all abilities.

“Employee wellness has been an important part of our business for a number of years now, and more recently we have reached out to other businesses and the community at large to share the benefit of our system,” said Wood. “We will continue to promote and provide opportunities for free, accessible, local, healthy recreational opportunities for everyone. All of us at LEAP would like to thank the Western Mountain Chiropractic staff and their patients for this great show of support.”

LEAP is a local non-profit residential service provider who strives to empower people of all abilities to believe in themselves, live healthy and well, make friends and have hope for the future. Our foundation principle is to provide services that encourage well being, self-expression and experiences of joy.
