Request for Proposals, Town of Farmington: Cemetery Mowing
The Town of Farmington is accepting bids for the mowing and general maintenance of fourteen outlying cemeteries and two non-cemetery municipal lots. Any qualified landscaper interested in submitting a materials and labor quote for consideration must follow the job specifications provided in the bid packet, furnish proof of current general liability insurance coverage to acceptable standards and mail or hand deliver a written proposal clearly marked “Cemetery Mowing Proposal” to the Farmington Town Office, 153 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, ME 04938 by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012. The company or individual chosen to perform the work will be notified following a Board of Selectmen’s meeting on April 10, 2012.

Interested bidders may obtain a copy of the bid packet at the Farmington Town Office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by calling (207) 778-6538 or emailing info@farmington-maine.org. The successful bidder will be required to provide a certificate of insurance before the contract will be signed. Workers’ Compensation and General Liability insurance shall be maintained throughout the term of the contract and shall be written with a qualified insurance carrier having an A.M. Best B+ rating or better for the past year. The amount of general liability insurance shall be not less than $400,000 each occurrence and not less than $800,000 aggregate.

The Town of Farmington reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any formalities and to accept the proposal it deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Farmington.
