Notice to Farmington Water Department Customers. As a necessary part of water quality control, the Farmington Water Department will be flushing all hydrants throughout the water system. The program this year will begin Monday morning April 20th and may continue until the end of the week. Flushing times for different areas will vary throughout the week including both daytime and nighttime hours. The flushing may cause some temporary instances of low pressure and discolored water. Alpine Operations Coordinator and Ski Coach. The University of Maine at Farmington is seeking a qualified candidate to coordinate the new Alpine Operations Certificate Program and serve as coach for the ski teams. The individual will have teaching responsibility for introductory courses, as well as on-mountain ski instruction methods, and other courses not handled by other faculty within the program. The Alpine Operations Coordinator will work to maintain relationships with local recreation facilities to provide additional experiences for students and ensure internship and on-mountain opportunities persist. Coaching duties include directing all aspects of coaching and management of the men’s and women’s alpine ski teams. The Coordinator will also work on collaborations with Mainely Outdoors to help keep outdoor activities as a core element of the UMF experience. The ten month contract begins August 15th.
