  1. Accolades should also go to Clyde Ross, who for the 27th year portrayed Chester Greenwood, for being awarded by Nancy Teele of the United Way the organization’s Shining Star award.

Also to Elizabeth Thomas, Chester’s great great granddaughter, who for the past 15-years has portrayed
    Isabel Greenwood, Chester’s wife.

  2. It was a awesome parade!!! Thanks Chester Greenwood and family for making this such a special day. It really puts us in the Christmas spirit!!!!

  3. Thanks to al of the volunteers who make this event possible. This is a community effort from the students of the Mallett School to championship winning Mt Blue Cougars. Congratulations to Willy Wacks , a new business in Farmington for all the “effort” put into thier entry !

  4. As I stood on the Corner by the Titcomb House & Library and watched the floats turn the corner, the participants and floats just kept coming, and coming. Before the last float had rounded the corner from Middle St to High, the floats were passing on Main St. at the bottom of Academy St. What a parade! Don’t know the numbers, but it had to have been one of the longest parades yet. And there were some excellent floats. People went “all out” this year. Great job!!!

  5. We are so fortunate to live in such a vibrant community. The parade this year was one of the best in years. Thank you to the participants and organizers for all your hard work.. Thanks also to the Downtown Business Association and Chamber of Commerce for all your work on this event and the many others that you are involved in year round.

Some can only look at these organizations negatively and don’t realize the thousands of volunteer hours needed to make these events happen. The majority of community members work together to make events such as this take place.

I personally am very proud of what takes place in our community and feel humbled by all the extraordinary talent we have in our area. Yes, Woody, that even includes the jugglers.

    Respectfully, Bill Marceau
