Celebrating Christmas on Front Street Saturday

A reindeer’s special appearance drew the biggest crowds to Front Street last year. The event will once again be held on Saturday and feature free movies at the Narrow Gauge Cinemas and more on Front Street.

FARMINGTON – From one end of historic Front Street to the other on Saturday, many free family events will be going in celebration of Christmas.

Narrow Gauge Cinemas will be showing family movies at no charge through the day.

At noon to 3 p.m. families can visit with a live reindeer, take a wagon ride, have hot chocolate and have a photo taken with a special North Pole resident.

Many of the merchants on Front Street will be having special discounts during the day for those last-minute shoppers.

The following is the schedule:

11 a.m. and 2 p.m. free showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life”

11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. free showing of “Big Hero 6”

11:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.- free showing of “A Christmas Story”

Noon to 3 p.m. Pictures with Santa and his sleigh at the Stone Hearth Café patio

Noon to 3 p.m. Wagon rides on Front Street

Noon to 3 p.m. visit a live reindeer at Divine Inspirations

Noon to 3 p.m. Hot Chocolate and s’mores at the Stone Hearth Café
