  1. I saw this wreck and I am that road during the week , I have watched cars fly down that road and cant believe how fast they go , this was bound to happen , surprised it hasnt happened before now !

  2. As a resident on this road who has kids and dogsand walk it, I’m not surprised that this has happened. I feel bad for the kids and hope he is ok however people are constantly driving way to fast on this road. It should be watched more for everyones safety. People easily go 45 or more on it. Please slow down and take caution.

  3. I know it says in the article was saying be was speeding but as the person driving behind him an watched the whole thing happen looking down at my speedo i was doing 25 he was only going 30-35 he had no weight in the back of his truck an anyone who has driven an older truck or a pickup in general knows even going at slower speeds with no weight in the back and hitting those “wash boards” or ruts an cause the truck to come off balance as I watched, it makes your back end sway out from undearneath you an it did exactly that and i saw him over correct an the final result happened. They are going to say he was excesively speeding because he is a young kid but I watched it all happen an it was the most terrifying day of my life..

  4. I’m glad no one was seriously injured. I don’t know that the driver needs to be charged. He’s young, and I’m sure he thought he had control of his vehicle. It could truly happen to anyone, and I’m sure the whole thing was scary for him.

  5. Glad to read innocent people in another vehicle that happen to be on the road were not injured.

  6. Glad the injuries were non-life threatening. He is young. He was driving too fast for conditions. Lesson learned…small fine in order…

  7. Glad this kid was not hurt bad. But the road was just graded a week ago, no wash boards there. And there has been many accidents on this road. People still drive too fast on road. There is way too much traffic on this road.

  8. Emily,

Its called operating to fast for the driving conditions. I own, and have owned several pick-ups. When driving on rough roads, you slow down… If he was driving fast enough to loose control, he was driving to fast, simple as that.

  9. Maybe if some berms were built into the road, they would slow down. I know on mountain logging roads, berms are built to slow the spring run-off. I know. I’ve lived there. If they drive too fast over the berm, they might end up losing a muffler or an oil pan and maybe then, they would think about speeding and how much it costs.

  10. I agree with Tom. People need to slow down, young and old!
It’s understandable Emily sticks up for her boyfriend; however, I’ve met Austin and his vehicle on the roads many times. Be honest! He needs to slow down. In general, people need to slow down, pay attention. No one is invincible.
Glad that he nor anyone else was hurt!

  11. Everyone regardless of roads or conditions needs to understand a VEHICLE is a Weapon of Mass Destruction. At a slow roll the weight alone can cause serious damage to anything in the path and People need to be and keep themselves highly aware of this fact.
