CHESTERVILLE – Residents will decide whether or not to transfer funds to cover the cost of a truck body and kitchen appliances at the town office Thursday evening, at a special town meeting convening at 7 p.m.

The special town meeting warrant includes three action articles. The first asks residents to approve funding a new body for a piece of town equipment, utilizing $20,000 out of the undesignated fund and the remaining balance out of the town’s Equipment Reserve Account.

Residents will also be asked to approve funding the purchase of appliances for the town office building’s kitchen. Those funds would come out of the Office Maintenance Account, as well as funds set aside for the town office reconstruction project. The town office building is an emergency shelter for residents, necessitating the kitchen.

Finally, residents will be asked to consider naming a new section of the George Thomas Road. The new name would be the “Webber Road.”

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the town office building on the Dutch Gap Road.
