Features/News Farmington police, UCU participate in Ice Bucket Challenge by Ben Hanstein August 23, 2014August 24, 2014 1 min read The Farmington Police Department used their fundraising jail for their Ice Bucket Challenge. Watch the video here. Selectman Stephan Bunker drove the police cruiser, while William Marceau lent the department his time and front-end loader. The department was challenged by Farmington Fire Rescue. They, in turn, challenged the University of Maine at Farmington Department of Public Safety and Farmington NorthStar EMS base. That’s a lot of water! Like all participants, the department gave funds to fight ALS. Employees of the University Credit Union “kick ALS” with the help of the University of Maine at Farmington men’s soccer team. UCU raised $250 to fight ALS and challenged the UMF women’s soccer team, the UMF fitness center staff and UCU’s senior management. … And here comes the water.
