H1N1 vaccine clinic schedules listed

AUGUSTA – According to the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, H1N1 vaccine has begun arriving in the state, but there is a very limited supply of H1N1 vaccine. Therefore, the public clinics for H1N1 vaccination listed on this clinic locator are for people in certain very high-risk categories.

Among those in the high-risk category are school age children. Listed below are the Franklin County school clinics’ schedules which will be open for students at these schools only and are not open to the public.

Cape Cod Hill School, New Sharon, Monday, Nov. 2, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Both H1NI and seasonal shots available. Nasal spray and shots for ages 3 and up. Katie Hallman, RN 778-3031.

Carrabassett Valley Academy, Carrabassett Valley, Monday, Nov. 2 through Friday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Louise Gillmore 237-4489. H1N1 only.

Jay Schools, Jay, Tuesday, Nov. 3 & Thursday, Nov. 5, noon. H1N1 only, no fee charged, nasal spray, shots for ages 3 and up. Jackie Kilbreth RN. 897-5719.

Academy Hill School, Wilton, Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. H1N1 and seasonal flu shots available. Nasal spray and shots for ages 3 and up. Katie Hallman, RN. 778-3031.

Cascade Brook School, Farmington, Thursday, Nov. 5, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. H1N1 and seasonal flu shots available. Nasal spray and shots for ages 3 and up. Karen Marceau, RN, BSN. 778-4821.

Mt. Blue Middle School, Farmington, Monday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. H1N1 and seasonal flu shots available. Karen Marceau, RN, BSN. 778-3511.

Mt. Blue High School, Farmington, Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. H1N1 and seasonal flu shots available. Patricia Mellen, RN, MSN. 778-2771.

MSAD 58’s schools have not received the vaccine but will schedule clinics at the schools once it arrives, according to Beth Luce, RN at Mt. Abram High School in Salem.

  1. Third-party insurance will be charged, no cash from patients accepted. Does this mean no insurance then no shot?
