Injured fawn rescued

CARTHAGE - Game Warden Jonathan Parker of the Maine Warden Service responded to the call of an injured fawn found in Carthage on Saturday morning.
The fawn had been hit by a car and left on the side of the rode. A resident living nearby noticed the fawn and called the Warden Service. Once it was carefully lifted into his vehicle, Parker took the young deer to an animal clinic in South Paris where it was given a splint for a broken leg.
The fawn will remain at the clinic to be rehabilitated and released into the wild when it's healthy enough.
